Cell Cover for the Project SG100. Genomics research has neglected genetic diversity in Asian populations, hindering the understanding of disease-related genetic variants and precision medicine. Wu et al. analyzed the whole-genome of Chinese, Malay, and Indian populations in Singapore, revealing admixture history and identifying disease association variants under natural selection. The study improves the accuracy of genetic data inference for other Asian and Oceanian populations.
